Our class loves playing the math game called Close to 100. They have also been learning all about characters in fiction texts and writing about those characters. Students have been developing central idea statements and supporting it with evidence from the text.
Our class participated in a Groundwork Somerville lesson. The students learned about different types of tomatoes and the structure of tomato plants. They made observations and drew pictures representing the stem, leaves, flowers, fruit, roots, and stem.
Perimeter is much more fun when we are using yarn, rulers, tiles, and BeeBots!
Students have been earning coins for respectful and on task behavior. On Friday they total their money and the students choose activities in order from highest to lowest totals. Then everyone has fun!
