Classroom updates.

Students have had a busy few months prepping for the Reading MCAS.  They have been learning different strategies for answering both multiple choice and open response questions.  Everyone has been working really hard and students are prepared for the test.  Today we had our first session and we will continue testing tomorrow and on Monday.

The Kennedy School is having their first College and Career Week from April 11-15.  I am looking for some parents  to visit our classroom to share information about their careers or colleges with our students.  The end of the day, around 2:00 pm, works great for us but we could be flexible with scheduling.  Also, to volunteer in the classroom you must have a CORI check every year.  The CORI form must be completed and sent to the main office before the day of the event. Please let me know if you would like to visit our classroom!

Grades close on April 6th for the third quarter.  Parent Teacher Conferences are on April 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The sign up sheet will be available in the office soon.  Parents/guardians will receive their child’s report card at the conference.  All other students will receive their report cards on April 14th.  I hope to meet with you soon to discuss your child’s progress!
